start_ID-10091867Getting started on a new project can be daunting enough.  Having a vision does not automatically constitute fruition; nor does it translate to having the tenacity and power of mind to finish what you have started.  Here are 2 simple tips to help you kickstart your new idea, new business, new plan, new whatever from start to finish.

1) Know who you are.

Let’s face it, it is difficult to sell anything that you are not familiar with or knowledgeable of.  It is even more difficult to sell something that you do not know and cannot relate to.  Take the time to get to know you.  If you don’t know who you are, how will you ever be able to articulate your views, your values and your benefits to others?  Why is that?  It’s simple.  Not knowing who you are inevitably means you have nothing to share.  Spend time learning you, getting to know you first and foremost.  Doing so will allow you to discover and expose your strengths and weaknesses before you launch into something that you may or may not be prepared for.

2) Commit.

Commitment is the tiebreaker when it comes to being successful.  Many people are able to run a race and they can often run neck and neck with everyone else.  Yet, the finish line is only inhabited by those who stick it out and have a resolve to finish the race.  Those who are able to commit and endure the ups and downs are able to savor the success and duplicate. While those who lack commitment duplicate failure from one project to the next.
